How to review your Lichess games

  1. Type your Lichess username and press Review my game. We fetch your 20 most recent standard games.
  2. The newest game is reviewed first. Pick any other from the game list.
  3. Read your accuracy, the evaluation graph and your key mistakes, then download the annotated PGN.

Prefer to paste? On Lichess open the game, choose Share & export, copy the PGN and use the Paste PGN tab. You can also explore any position from the game on the chess analysis board or ask the next move calculator what the engine would have played.

Lichess rate limits

Lichess asks apps to fetch one request at a time. If Lichess says it is busy, wait a minute and try again, or paste the PGN, which never needs the network.

Frequently asked questions

Lichess already has free analysis. Why use this?

Lichess’s computer analysis is excellent and free. This review adds a summary built for learning: your three biggest mistakes picked out with a short explanation of what went wrong and what to play instead, plus an annotated PGN you can download.

Will the accuracy match Lichess?

It uses the same published Lichess formula, so it is usually very close. Small differences come from engine version and depth: we run Stockfish 19 lite at depth 12 for every move and deeper for your key mistakes.

Can I review a game against the Lichess computer?

Yes. Games against Stockfish on Lichess are included in your game list. Variants such as Chess960 are skipped because the review only supports standard chess.

Is this an official Lichess tool?

No. ChessAnalysis is an independent site and is not affiliated with Lichess.
