How to review a Chess.com game for free

  1. Type your Chess.com username (not your email) and press Review my game.
  2. We load your last 20 games from the past three months and review the newest one. Use the game list to pick another.
  3. Stockfish analyzes every move in your browser. You get accuracy for both players, every inaccuracy, mistake and blunder, and your three biggest mistakes explained.

Chess.com’s own Game Review is limited to one full review a day on the free plan. Here the engine runs on your device, so there is no limit: review every blitz game from tonight if you like. To study a single position from a game, open it on the analysis board.

How this review compares with Chess.com analysis

Both reviews use Stockfish and rate each move by how much it changed your winning chances. The differences are in the details: we use the published Lichess accuracy formula, our own move labels (Best, Good, Inaccuracy ?!, Mistake ?, Blunder ??) and a fixed depth so every game is reviewed the same way. Expect small differences in accuracy and in which moves count as mistakes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to log in to Chess.com?

No. Chess.com publishes finished games through its public API, so your username is enough. We never ask for your Chess.com password.

Why is my latest game missing?

Chess.com usually adds a finished game to the public API within a few minutes. Daily (correspondence) games appear once they end. If a game is still missing, open it on Chess.com, copy the PGN from the share menu and paste it here.

Will my accuracy match the Chess.com number?

Not exactly. Chess.com uses its own accuracy model (CAPS) and engine settings; we use the open Lichess formula with Stockfish 19. Both measure how much winning chance your moves gave away, so the numbers are usually close but rarely identical.

Is this an official Chess.com tool?

No. ChessAnalysis is an independent site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Chess.com.
